WASHINGTON – LGBTQ+ Victory Fund is proud to congratulate seven winning endorsed candidates for Virginia House of Delegates races, helping to flip seats and secure a pro-equality majority in the state amid homophobia and transphobia during the election cycle.
Victory Fund endorsed Rozia Henson, Laura Jane Cohen, Adele McClure, Marcia Price, Mark Sickles and Joshua Cole in their reelection campaigns. Lindsey Dougherty was endorsed and won as a challenger, helping to increase pro-equality representation in the House of Delegates.
President & CEO of LGBTQ+ Victory Fund Evan Low congratulates the winners:
“Virginia made its voice clear—equality wins. With the election of these remarkable leaders, voters reaffirmed that compassion, dignity, and fairness are Virginia values. Rozia Henson, Laura Jane Cohen, Joshua Cole, Marcia Price, Adele McClure, Mark Sickles, and Lindsey Dougherty represent the future of this Commonwealth. Their victories ensure that LGBTQ people, people of color, women, and working families have champions in Richmond who will never stop fighting for them. Tonight is not just a win for our candidates—it’s a win for democracy and representation itself.”
170+ LGBTQ+ Victory Fund-endorsed nationwide candidates on ballots in the 2025 General Election. The Victory Fund endorsed 260+ candidates in 2025, a record for a non-federal election year.
