WASHINGTON – LGBTQ+ Victory Fund proudly congratulates Joshua Cole on his win to represent District 65 in the House of Delegates. Cole’s reelection comes alongside a record number of LGBTQ+ candidates on the ballot for the House of Delegates, and his win helps to preserve a growing LGBTQ+ caucus in the state’s lower house.
Evan Low, President & CEO of LGBTQ+ Victory Fund comments on the win:
“Tonight, the voters of Fredericksburg, Stafford and Spotsylvania chose progress, hope, and equality. Joshua Cole’s return to the House of Delegates is not just a personal victory—it’s a victory for every Virginian who believes in dignity and justice. In one of the most competitive districts in the Commonwealth, Joshua proved that courage and compassion are stronger than fear and division. His leadership is essential to defending the rights of LGBTQ+ people and protecting Virginia’s pro-equality majority.”
Cole was one of at least 170+ LGBTQ+ Victory Fund-endorsed candidates nationwide on ballots in the 2025 General Election. LGBTQ+ Victory Fund endorsed 260+ candidates in 2025, a record for a non-federal election year.
