Today LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ+ leaders to public office, endorsed Julie Johnson for Congress after her official campaign announcement this morning.
If elected, Johnson would be the first out LGBTQ+ person ever elected to Congress from Texas. The U.S. must elect 21 more LGBTQ+ U.S. Representatives for equitable representation, according to LGBTQ+ Victory Institute.
