Biography
Maria Sinkule works as a school social worker and is a strong supporter of developing a healthy community for all. She is also a graduate of Aurora University, with a Doctorate in Social Work. Maria received her Master’s degree in School Social Work and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She is an adjunct instructor at UIC and AU.
Maria was the first Latina to serve as President of the Illinois Association of School Social Workers. In addition to serving as President of IASSW, she was the former President of her local library board. Maria is a voice and an advocate for many individuals in her community.
