Biography
Beth Doglio, currently serving her third term representing Washington State’s 22nd Legislative District and in her inaugural term as Chair of the House Environment & Energy Committee, holds a degree in Political Science and Telecommunications from Indiana University. As the first openly bisexual member of the state legislature and a member of the LGBTQ caucus, Doglio has a diverse professional background in environmental advocacy, including 16 years at Climate Solutions and leadership roles at Washington Conservation Voters, Pro-Choice Washington, and Audubon Washington. Her commitment to women’s issues and LGBTQ+ rights has been evident throughout her career, both in her general advocacy work and specifically as an elected official. In addition to her legislative duties, Doglio manages a consulting business focusing on climate, housing, and local projects. She also actively engages in community service, serving as the President of the Board of Directors for Quixote Community and holding positions on the boards of South Sound YMCA and the PARC Foundation. Residing in Olympia with her husband, Dr. Eddy Cates, Doglio finds solace in wilderness adventures, especially alongside her sons, aged 19 and 24.
