Brad will bring important representation to the Iowa House of Representatives!
Biography
Brad Magg is a lifelong Jasper County resident and small business owner running to represent District 38 in the Iowa House.
He began his career making and selling baked goods in 4th grade. At age 14, Brad started a catering business, and since then, he has spent his career creating and opening businesses that fill much-needed voids in his communities. From opening Goldie’s Ice Cream Shoppe in Prairie City, a community that hadn’t had a restaurant for several years, to Spring City Pharmacy, filling the void of a 117-year-old pharmacy that closed in his hometown of Colfax. Saving Jasper County’s only locally owned pharmacy and the ONLY access to health care that the community has. All while serving as a city council member in Colfax for the last 15 years.
These efforts have helped create thriving communities that have lured many former and new residents. However, they have also made him astutely aware of the horrible legislation that has been passed at the state level, from defunding public schools, denying families the ability to make their own medical decisions, and banning books to putting unreasonable restrictions on local cities, counties, and schools that prevent them from operating to the best of their ability.
Brad is running for the Iowa House to give the people of District 38 a voice with common sense, cooperation, and compassion.
