Biography
As Mayor of West Sacramento, Christopher Cabaldon transformed his neglected, industrial town into the nationally-awarded “America’s most livable small city” and one of the world’s “21 Smart Cities to Watch”. He’s running to represent District 3 in the California Senate because he knows how to make government work for people–building housing that is affordable to all, quality education that leads to career success and engaged citizenship, and a healthy, sustainable environment. He is an educator who has been a Professor at California State University, Vice Chancellor at the state’s community colleges, and an education and environment appointee of President Obama and five California governors. As chair of America’s LGBTQ+ Mayors, he brought Main Street to the battle for civil rights and will be a champion in the California Legislature.
