Biography
Lauren Cazares, a dedicated Policy Advisor at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, specializes in environment, education, small business, and economic development, rooted in her lifelong residency in East County, San Diego. With a rich political background, including roles in Mayor Todd Gloria’s administration and key regional campaigns, Lauren boasts over seven years of experience in advocacy and fundraising. A first-generation college graduate with degrees in political science and women’s studies, Lauren’s passion for politics began early and led her to initiatives like Emerge California and LGBTQIA+ advocacy at Point Loma Nazarene University. Beyond her professional endeavors, Lauren serves on various boards and commissions, leveraging her diverse background as a Latina lesbian, first generation
college graduate, and granddaughter of immigrants to champion underrepresented voices and foster a more equitable future.
