Chris Clark

Chris Clark was Mountain View’s youngest and first openly LGBTQ+ mayor and city council member. He served 8 years before terming out in 2021 and is now seeking another term. Chris was born and raised on a family farm where he learned the values of hard work, responsibility, and protecting our environment at an early age. He attended public schools and caught the bug for public service after serving as a Page for the U.S. House of Representatives. He attended Stanford University and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science, secondary major in International Relations, and a minor in Economics. Chris has over 20 years of professional experience in both the private and public sectors. He worked at the U.S. State Department and held executive positions several technology companies and nonprofit organizations. Chris’ top priorities include affordable housing, transportation, environmental sustainability, and building a more equitable community.
