Biography
Darryl Moore brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role on the Manassas Park Governing Body, having been elected in November 2020. He serves as the City’s representative to the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) and as an alternate on the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC). Prior to his move to Manassas Park, Darryl served 12 years on the Berkeley City Council in Berkeley, California, and was also an elected Trustee to the Peralta Community College District in California’s East Bay for 4 years.
Darryl holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and a certificate in State and Local Government from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. A lifelong Democrat, Darryl is in a committed relationship with his partner Bradley of 29 years. Together, they raised two sons and have 10 grandchildren. Darryl is also a foster parent to two preschoolers. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing chess, traveling, playing tennis, and trying out new restaurants.
As Darryl seeks reelection to the Manassas Park City Council this November, he remains steadfast in his commitment to improving the community and advocating for residents’ priorities.
