Kristin made history as the first woman elected Sheriff of Charleston County!


Graziano is a trailblazing Sheriff who earned the respect and admiration of her peers and the public. Sheriff Graziano made HERstory by becoming the first woman elected to the position of Sheriff in the State of South Carolina. In 2015, she received the prestigious Medal of Valor from the South Carolina Sheriff’s Association. During her tenure as a key member of the SWAT team, Graziano lead the elite unit as an Element Leader. Sheriff Graziano serves on the FirstNet Authority Board of Directors, a vital role that ensures the safety and security of the Nation’s emergency responders and public safety community. She is a passionate coach for the College of Charleston women’s rugby team, inspiring the next generation of female athletes and future leaders. In 2020 she ran a successful campaign endorsed by national organizations Victory Fund and SC Equality. Sheriff Graziano holds a Bachelors degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in business administration with a focus in public policy. She is a proud aluma of Emerge South Carolina, a program that trains women to run for public office. In 2021, she was honored in Columbia as Woman of the Year for her outstanding achievements and contributions. Graziano is running to secure her second term as Sheriff in Charleston County, South Carolina and continue serving her community “Beyond the Call”
