Biography
Ian VanSteenbergh is a Midway native, Realtor, and advocate running for Midway City Council. After studying public policy at the University of Kentucky and understanding the needs of his community, he is running to be a new, fresh voice in Midway. In both his educational and professional background, he’s experienced many of the pain points a small town faces.
While he would be the first openly LGBTQ+ Councilmember in Midway and one of the youngest elected officials in Kentucky, he’s running to ensure a higher quality of life for his constituents, housing affordability, and sustainability. He wants to ensure that Midway continues to be the Best Small Town in America.
