Biography
As a proud member of the LGBT+ community and an executive board member of the Broward County LGBT+ Democratic Club, Dolphin Democrats, Jim has dedicated his life to advocating for equality and progressive values. With extensive experience as a staffer to Democratic leaders like John Kerry and Michael Dukakis, he has consistently worked to advance the rights and well-being of marginalized communities. Jim’s commitment to public service and grassroots activism drives him to continue fighting for a more inclusive and just society.
Jim holds degrees from Wesleyan University and the John F. Kennedy School at Harvard. In addition to his work as a staffer, he has been a banking and international investment executive, with a passion for sustainable, grassroots development. Jim co-founded Ghana Home Loans Ltd., helping to finance middle-class home development in Ghana, and founded Ecohomes Liberia, a green-rated cooperative housing project outside Monrovia. His diverse background combines a deep commitment to public service with significant experience in international finance and community development.
