Charlie Jones

Growing up in Pleasanton Unified’s K-12 schools, and even being raised by a Pleasanton Unified employee, Charlie Jones knew early on that he would dedicate his life to educating the next generation. Now, he is a teacher and the Social Studies Department Chair at Tennyson High School in Hayward, where he has worked hard to boost student success, save taxpayer money, and ensure social equity throughout his district. Charlie is also a proud union leader, fighting hard to stop school closures, improve parent participation, and ensure fair working conditions for all of his fellow school employees. Now, Charlie is running to bring that record of inclusive, supportive, and experienced leadership to the school district that made him the man he is today. Charlie has plans to strengthen student services, stabilize the District’s long-struggling budget, and solidify community and family engagement as the core of all District policy.
