Biography
Kyle Wright is running for State Representative of District 29 to bring dedicated leadership to our community. As a 25-year-old resident of Taylor, Michigan, and a graduate of Central Michigan University with degrees in political science and public and nonprofit administration, Kyle spent six years as a nonprofit development professional. Currently serving his fourth year on the Taylor School Board, Kyle has held roles as president, secretary, and trustee and played a key role in passing a $130 million bond to improve his schools and develop a forward-looking plan for his school district.
Kyle’s campaign focuses on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and the environment. He is an advocate for bold investments in education, including career and technical education and college readiness programs. As a pro-choice candidate, Kyle supports a woman’s right to choose and strive to ensure equitable healthcare access for all, with a focus on mental health investments for youth and seniors. In infrastructure, Kyle aims to advance Michigan’s competitiveness by promoting electric vehicles, improving roads and bridges, and enhancing public transportation. Environmental sustainability is also a priority, and Kyle is committed to transitioning to renewable energy sources, supporting electric vehicles, and enforcing industry regulations to combat climate change.
Kyle will be a loud and bold voice for the needs of his residents in the 29th District, which includes Taylor, Romulus, Huron Township, Ash Township, Carleton, Frenchtown, and Monroe.
