Biography
Ally Layman is a proud lifelong resident of Huntington, West Virginia. She holds an Allied Health degree from MCTC and remains deeply connected to her community. Ally is not only an enthusiastic community leader but also a devoted wife to Cheyenne, loving dog mom to Bonnie and Blue, she is also a loyal fan of all things Star Wars.
Her commitment to her community extends further as she actively participates in Mayor Williams’ LGBTQIA+ and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion advisory committees, making a valuable impact in fostering a more inclusive and diverse city.
Ally also holds a significant role as a commissioner on the Huntington Human Relations Commission and serves as the President of Huntington Pride, where she is a founding member. She is also currently serving her community on Huntington City Council, for District 9.
Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Ally was honored by The Advocate Magazine in 2022, earning the title of one of their esteemed Champions of Pride for West Virginia. Her passion for community, dedication to equity and inclusion, and professional achievements make Ally Layman a truly outstanding individual, contributing to the betterment of West Virginia and its LGBTQIA+ community.
