Biography
Dr. Leslie Rippon has called Rahway home for nearly two decades with her wife Jessie Wilson, an RHS alumna from the class of 1996. Together, they proudly raise their two young children attending Rahway Public Schools.
With deep roots in the community, Dr. Rippon has actively contributed through her roles on the Environmental Commission and as a PAL Softball Coach. Professionally, she serves as an Associate Professor at Seton Hall University’s School of Health and Medical Sciences (SHMS). Prior to her tenure at Seton Hall, she worked as an athletic trainer within the South Plainfield Public School system.
Dr. Rippon holds a Master’s degree in Athletic Training and a PhD in Higher Education Leadership, Management, and Policy, both from Seton Hall University. Her commitment to excellence in education has been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Seton Hall University Interprofessional Educator of the Year Award in 2022, the Excellence in Innovation and Teaching Award in 2024, and the Researcher of the Year Award in 2024. She has also secured multiple grants for research in educational technologies and has made significant contributions through her presentations and publications on educational outcome assessment and pedagogical methods.
With her extensive background in academic leadership, educational policy, and system evaluation, Dr. Rippon brings a valuable perspective to the Rahway Board of Education. As a mother of two elementary school children, she is deeply invested in Rahway Public Schools’ success and is committed to helping all of Rahway’s youth thrive and achieve their full potential.
