Biography
Matt Moonen is a longtime leader in Maine politics. He is currently in his 5th term in the Maine House of Representatives, where he has served as a member of the Taxation Committee, as the Chair of the Judiciary Committee, and as Majority Leader.
Outside of the legislature, Matt served seven years as the Executive Director of EqualityMaine – the statewide LGBTQ+ advocacy organization; as a consultant to various progressive issue organizations; and as Deputy Campaign Manager to Governor Janet Mills.
Matt lives in Portland with his husband, Jeremy Kennedy.
