Michael Okeefe

Michael O’Keefe proudly serves on the Rancho Mirage City Council. His experience includes 25 years of business management, 20 years of working in the field of mental health, and a lifelong history of community involvement, philanthropy, and volunteerism. He has a record of supporting LGBTQ+ issues, women’s rights, and racial equality. He is committed to the core values that have made Rancho Mirage one of the best small cities in the country—strong city management, solid fiscal controls, excellent planning, best-in-class infrastructure and public works, prioritizing public safety, and providing generous services and amenities to residents. He is proud of the 100 rating score that Rancho Mirage receives from the Municipal Equality Index. He and his husband, Jim Hehn, met in 2000, were married in 2008, and love living in Rancho Mirage.
