Biography

Mishon D. Montgomery is a wife, mother, dog mom, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion professional running to represent District 17 in the Nevada State Assembly. A United States Air Force Veteran with 20 years and 9 days of honorable service, Mishon’s military service has taken her all over the world, supporting multiple Major Commands and Operations. After retiring from the United States Air Force, she began partnering with organizations to produce effective, culture-changing strategies and to motivate leaders to meet the demands of a rapidly diversifying workplace and community. She is committed to bringing forward legislation to support veterans, empower the LGBTQ community, lower healthcare costs, and protect our fundamental freedoms and democracy. Mishon holds a Master’s in public administration with a concentration in public policy and governance and maintains Diversity and Inclusion Certifications from Cornell University and Coach Diversity Institute. An eternal optimist, Mishon consistently marvels in the deliciousness of life.
