Devin Murphy

Devin T. Murphy serves as Mayor of the vibrant City of Pinole, California. A collaborative leader and democracy entrepreneur, he is focused on building a regenerative economy that engenders increasing prosperity while maintaining the natural systems that sustain us and building a more just and inclusive democracy. He is the first Black, first openly gay and LGBTQ-identified, and youngest mayor in the City of Pinole’s 120-year history. As Mayor, he represents nearly 20,000 residents and serves as a member of the National League of Cities, California League of Cities, Climate Mayors, Rewiring America’s Local Government Leaders for Electrification, and the Mayor’s Alliance to End Childhood Hunger. Devin also serves on the Board of Directors for MCE Clean Energy, California’s first community choice aggregator and clean electricity provider to more than 540,000 customers in Northern California.
