Biography

Nathan Bruemmer is an attorney and advocate running to represent Florida’s 61st District in the Florida House of Representatives. Nathan was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. Throughout his career, Nathan has served the people of Florida. Prior to becoming an attorney in private practice, he served as a classroom teacher, a non-profit leader, and as Florida’s LGBTQ+ Consumer Advocate. In his role with the State of Florida, he became the first transgender statewide appointed official in the United States. Nathan’s lifelong commitment to justice and equity continues through his practice of law and his work as a public policy advocate providing counsel to families, organizations, community leaders, and elected officials. Nathan’s public service experience with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) showcases his ability to bridge the gap between government and the community, fostering trust and collaboration. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life, coupled with his deep understanding of local, state, and federal issues, positions him uniquely to represent House District 61 effectively. Nathan is ready to bring his dedication, integrity, and vision to the forefront, working tirelessly to create a brighter future for all residents of the district and in Florida.
