Claire will be an important voice for equality in the Delaware House of Representatives!
Biography
Claire Snyder-Hall is running for the Delaware State House in RD 14 (Rehoboth Beach, Dewey, and Lewes), which has one of the largest LGBTQ+ communities in the country per capita. She is a pro-choice Democrat who will work to protect reproductive freedom and LGBTQ+ equality, to strengthen the democratic process in the First State, and to advance doable bills aimed at improving Delaware’s quality of life in terms of health, education, housing, and the environment. Before moving to Rehoboth Beach in 2011 with her wife, Claire was a tenured political science professor at George Mason University. She ran for the DE State Senate in 2014 with a Victory Fund endorsed, grassroots campaign. After losing that race, she did consulting work for Common Cause DE and the Kettering Foundation, two organizations in the “democracy space.”
As Executive Director of Common Cause DE from 2021-2024, she has developed a strong network of legislators, administrators, allies, and organizers across the state, and she looks forward to working on a range of issues in the General Assembly.
