Biography
Sam Bell is a proud bisexual and progressive. He and his wife Samantha live with their son Jake in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Providence. First elected to the Rhode Island State Senate in 2018, Sam has spent the last six years fighting for his most vulnerable neighbors by pushing for more affordable and low-income housing, stronger public education, and justice for people of color and the LGBTQ+ community. He’s willing to stand up for real Democratic values — building a stronger, safer future for poor and middle class families, rather than lining the pockets of the wealthy — even when it means going against the party line.
