Biography
Serenity Johnson is a proud Kentuckian from Hardin County, Kentucky. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1984. Growing up in a military family, Serenity spent her childhood living at various times in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Germany. She moved to Kentucky in 2010, where she has lived in the greater Hardin County area since her arrival.
Since 2017, she has been employed in retail. During the global COVID-19 pandemic when most people sheltered at home during lockdown, she worked overtime to unload trucks and keep grocery shelves stocked. Over the years she has filled various roles as a regular associate, a supervisor, and an hourly manager.
Serenity is passionate about civic engagement, and about state and local government. She encourages other people—especially her fellow millennials and other young people—to become more civically engaged and involved in their communities. She is running for Radcliff City Council to help her own community chart a course for the future. Her priorities center on being proactive as her home of Hardin County experiences significant population growth, making sure that the city is dedicating the resources and infrastructure needed to accommodate that growth, and making sure that Radcliff continues to be affordable for the people who live and work there.
