Biography
Dr. Ravi Shah is running for reelection to the TUSD Governing Board. As the first openly gay member elected to the 2nd largest school district in Arizona, he is a proud TUSD parent with all three of his kids in TUSD schools. Dr. Ravi is a family physician, serving the most indigent members of the Tucson community. He grew up in Chicago and has been a Tucsonan for a decade. As a member of the school board, Dr. Ravi has fought for evidence- and fact-based approaches to address the needs of a majority-minority district where most students qualify for free-and-reduced meals. He has stood of for LGBTQ+ students to ensure safe spaces for everyone.
