Biography
Wes Hodge is a two-time cancer survivor, known for his unwavering commitment to voter rights and his political advocacy in Orange County, Florida. He moved to Orlando as a child and has spent most of his life working to improve the quality of life in his community. As a fervent advocate for equitable and accessible voting, Wes has dedicated his political career to promoting democratic values and empowering marginalized communities. For several years, Wes worked with a bipartisan coalition of state legislators to promote more inclusive changes in Florida’s voting laws.
Wes’s experience and knowledge of elections have set him apart from the rest of the field. He would like to increase community engagement and outreach, expand early voting access through an appointment system, increase the accessibility of the office through satellite offices, engage our youth in the voting process, and work with our transgender and nonbinary communities to navigate Florida’s changing ID and voter laws. Wes also has a comprehensive plan for increasing accessibility for voters with disabilities, language barriers, and returning citizens.
