Vice President of Outreach and Engagement Marty Rouse recently hit the campaign trail for GOTV and campaign events with our Texas candidates! Election Day is May 6th – and they left it all all the field. Congratulations to Bryan Martinez, Jalen McKee-Rodriguez, Omar Narvaez, Chad West and Jonathan Estrada for their well-earned wins!
Pasadena
After three years of extremist legislation and anti-LGBTQ legal maneuvers from Governor Abbott and Attorney General Paxton, LGBTQ+ Texans have had enough. Marty hit the campaign trail with Spotlight candidate Andy Garcia, running for the Pasadena ISD School Board, and Jonathan Estrada, running for reelection to the Pasadena City Council!

Brownsville
Next stop, Brownsville! Victory Fund endorsed candidate Bryan Martinez is hard at working knocking doors, making phone calls and getting out the vote. He and Marty have knocked over 400 doors so far – with more to come! We were proud to host a canvas with local firefighters and celebrate Brownsville’s LGBTQ+ community.

San Antonio
And that’s not all – Marty then headed to San Antonio to campaign with incumbent candidate Jalen McKee-Rodriguez, running for the San Antonio City Council. Jalen is the first incumbent to win this seat in 10 years!
