Despite being outspent nearly 40-1 by a billionaire opponent, Georgette emerged from her 16-way primary with a top-two spot, securing her place on the ballot in November. Georgette has the endorsement of the California Democratic Party, labor organizations, progressive groups, environmentalists and more. Georgette currently serves as San Diego’s City Council President and she’ll be the first queer Latina in Congress.
