Eleven of our endorsed candidates are on the ballot in the Arizona and Florida primaries Tuesday — including Kyrsten Sinema for the U.S. Senate and three U.S. House candidates. Perhaps more than on any other primary day this cycle, key victories Tuesday will determine whether we increase our presence on Capitol Hill come November.
Beyond Sinema, Congressional candidates include Matt Heinz (AZ-02), Lauren Baer (FL-18) and David Richardson (FL-27). Florida state legislative candidates Jennifer Webb and Cedric McMinn will each make history with wins, and their races will determine whether Florida increases its LGBTQ presence in the state legislature. Webb will become the first openly LGBTQ woman in the state legislature and McMinn the first openly LGBTQ African American elected to the legislature.
